System Diagnostics

The Diagnostics page helps identify and resolve hardware and communication issues in your irrigation system.

Accessing Diagnostics

Navigate to Dashboard > Diagnostics from the sidebar.

Diagnostic Checks

Check What It Verifies
Controller Communication Verifies that all controllers are reachable and responding to commands
Station Response Tests that stations open and close correctly when commanded
Sensor Connectivity Checks that all configured sensors are reporting data within expected intervals
Flow Calibration Compares expected vs actual flow rates to detect sensor drift

Common Issues & Solutions

Station shows “Error” status

  1. Check the controller communication status in Diagnostics.
  2. Verify the physical wiring between controller and station valve.
  3. Try a manual station test from Dashboard > Manual Station.
  4. If the controller is unreachable, check network connectivity and power supply.

Sensor data not updating

  1. Check battery level on wireless sensors.
  2. Verify the sensor is within communication range of the gateway.
  3. Check sensor configuration under Config > Sensors for correct parameters.
  4. Review the sensor data history to identify when readings stopped.

Program did not execute as scheduled

  1. Check Dashboard > Alerts for any error notifications around the scheduled time.
  2. Verify the program is in Active state (not paused or in validation error).
  3. Check for rain suspension events under Dashboard > Weather Station.
  4. Review the Activity Log for any manual overrides that may have interrupted the schedule.
